Dennis Tresise started trading as a Monumental Mason in 1947 once he was de-mobbed from the RAF following WW2, prior to the war he trained and became a fully qualified Monumental Mason and stone cutter while apprenticed to Tremayne's at Brill Quarry Nr Constantine.

One and All

Dennis Tresise created a block of Cornish Granite with the motto, “Kernow One and All” which was then presented to 10 Downing Street

Eric and Phil Tresise - Our Girl Falmouth

Eric and Phillip formed a partnership, taking over from their father Dennis in 1986 becoming D. Tresise and Sons, with Dennis still playing an integral part in the business.

Phillip and Daniel Tresise

Daniel spent many years at the workshop with his dad Phillip and Uncle Eric before becoming a full-time employee in 1997. Daniel then moved to the role of Business manager in 2010 following the passing of Eric.

Daniel Tresise and Scott Baldwin

Scott joined the company as a full-time employee in 2014, following a 30-year friendship with Daniel that started at Nine Maidens Primary school back in 1982. As a teenager Scott trained with Eric and Philip Tresise in the 90s before pursuing an alternative career for several years

Tresise and Baldwin

Tresise & Sons remained a family business and till 2022, when Daniel’s lifelong friend and work colleague Scott Baldwin became a Partner and they formed the now named Tresise and Baldwin Monumental Masons.

The Present

Tresise and Baldwin at present continues to uphold the traditional training and attention to detail of their predecessors, with a newer generation of masons currently in training, while keeping the close family ethics running through the company’s core as it always has.
